The story first.
We discuss the premise, audience, references and publishing plans. A focused brief gives the design a clear starting point.

STORIES, SEEN WITH CARE.I lead the design personally, from the first conversation to the final files. You work directly with the person shaping the visual identity of your book.
I’m interested in the moment a reader first encounters a story: what the cover reveals, what it leaves unsaid and the feeling that makes someone look closer.
That begins with listening. Your narrative and its audience guide the work; image, typography and space give it a presence of its own.

A cover needs to suggest a reading experience. I consider the genre, the emotional tone and the book’s position among other titles before settling on a visual direction.
Typography creates voice. Hierarchy gives the reader a way in. Image and colour establish atmosphere. Each decision should support the story rather than compete with it.
The final support matters too: a small digital image, a printed spine and a dust jacket each ask something different of the design.
We discuss the premise, audience, references and publishing plans. A focused brief gives the design a clear starting point.
Image, type and composition turn the brief into visual directions, considered in the context of the book’s genre.
We develop the chosen direction through specific feedback, refining hierarchy, tone and the small details.
Approved artwork is prepared for the agreed formats, using the final text and the chosen platform’s specifications.
